Merchandise Planner & Inventory Control Buyer:
The Merchandise Planner & Inventory Manager is responsible for developing merchandise plans and forecasts (planning), placing and monitoring purchase orders (buying), and maintaining optimal inventory levels to achieve sales plans, maximize sell-throughs and minimize out-of-stock situations (inventory management).
Responsibilities:
- 30% Merchandise Planning and Forecasting
- 35% Inventory Buying & Monitoring
- 35% Inventory Analytics & Management
Experience in retail merchandise planning is a critical requirement ― the ideal candidate will also have experience in apparel, ecommerce, and/or direct-to-consumer retail. A big plus to candidates with apparel, lingerie, and/or plus size consumer backgrounds.
Note: if you have a passion for spreadsheets, monitor merchandise reports with child-like giddiness and generally love being a retail nerd, this is your gig!
