- Measuring -
Bra Sizes
- Bra sizing is made up of two components. - the band size (38, 40, 42, 44, etc.) and the cup size
(C, D, DD, DDD, etc.) When measuring, wear your best fitting, unpadded, most comfortable bra. This will position the bust correctly. Do not wear a minimizer or sports bra.
Band Size
- Standing sideways in front of a mirror, measure under the arms just beneath the breasts
(1st measurement ). Make sure the tape is parallel to the floor. If it is an odd number add an inch. That is your band size.
Cup Size
- For cup size (2nd measurement) measure around the fullest part of bust. Refer to the table below to determine cup size based on the difference between the two measurements.
For example: If the 1st measurement is 39 inches, you would add an inch, for 40 inches. If the fullest part of the bust measures 43 inches, the difference is 3 inches (from the original measurement), and according to the chart below the bra size is 40C.

Corsets and Bustiers
Styles that come in sizes 38-50 correspond to the band measurement at your bust. If you are a
40 C-DD cup, you would order a size 40 bustier. If you are a DDD-E cup we suggest going up one size. For example a size 40 DDD would go up one size to a size 42.

A good fit will result in comfortable tension throughout the bust and torso with approximately 2-6 inches of skin visible beneath the lacing. To reduce the skin visible beneath the lacing panel you can order up one size more (i.e. 40DDD-E would order a 44 to reduce the open back lacing).

Steel Boned Corsets
This sizing on this corset is by waist measurement. It should be ordered 2-3 inches below your natural waist measurement. For example, a person whose natural waist size is 38 or 39 inches could order a corset of size 36 and could wear the back with a 1 - 2 inch space, giving the waist a 2-3 inch reduction. Casual corset wearers can comfortably reduce their waist by 2 or 3 inches. More experienced corset wearers can reduce their waist up to 3 or 4 inches. How To Take A Waist Measurement: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist. Keep the tape snug, but don't pull tight. Always measure 2-3 times for accuracy.
